Our mission is simple and urgent: document every site of enslavement and the families tied to them, enslaved and enslavers, so descendants can use evidence to reconstruct their lineages with confidence. Your support funds primary-source work (census, deeds, wills, probate, newspapers), careful transcription, and free public access to names.
We will never paywall names. Core search and person/ place pages remain free for descendants.
