MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION

  • Find A Grave Memorial: Abijah Yeager: Abijah’s sons James Madison, Lewis Winston, Gabriel Perry and Ducalion W. all migrated from Bibb County, AL, into Texas in the 1850s. James Madison and Gabriel Perry predeceased their father. James Madison’s widow and children remained in Texas, but Gabriel Perry’s widow returned to Alabama after his death. Abijah’s son Berry B. moved into Mississippi but died during the Civil War at the siege of Vicksburg. Abijah’s daughter Theodocia and son-in-law Emanuel Dobbins lived on in Abijah’s house with Abijah’s widow Lucy, who lived to be 92.
